Paint Design:
A review of our past work tells you that we can re-create any design element you can imagine. We need to speak with you, discuss designs you’ve seen, colors you’re considering, ideas you’d like to implement, etc. This requires some thought on your side. Digital photography and email bring customers right into my design studio.
Rush services are available for an additional charge. And definitely call us for further information. Airtrix is an authorized Shoei and Arai helmet dealer, so if you’d like to start your project with a new lid we can usually beat anyone’s advertised price (please call or email us for a quote).
Chroming services - A chrome base greatly increases the depth of a paint job. Please allow an additional 2-3 week lead time when getting a chrome base.
As for motorcycle body work, we have a list of requirements that we’ll go over with you prior to shipping your pieces to us-no fasteners, brackets, etc. Turn-around time is dependent on the complexity of the design and the number and condition of the pieces to be painted.
Auto Painters vs. Airtrix:
At best, and auto body painter can provide a workmanlike single color-or two-color paint job. Pin-striping, blends, logos, and graphics are well beyond most collision/insurance-driven auto body paint shops.
Resale Value:
Most re-painted motorcycles scream collision repair! Look at a re-painted motorcycle with its peel off graphics and you immediately think “quickie crash repair”. Try to re-sell a re-painted motorcycle and you’ll understand all the downsides of refinishing a newer machine – unless the work is done by a recognized design/paint house such as Airtrix. An Airtrix machine broadcasts a different message: owner pride, creativity and style. Instead of re-sale ”hit,” the newly finished motorcycle can bring added value to the original owner, both now and in the future.
